AEA REPRESENTED IN THE AFRICA EMPLOYERS’ SUMMIT 2025

The Association’s CEO, Mr. Wesley Siele attended the Africa Employers’ Summit, a two-day event organized by the Federation of Kenya Employers (FKE) at Emara Ole Sereni, Nairobi. The summit which was officially opened by Hon. Prof. Kithure Kindiki, Deputy President of the Republic of Kenya, brought together CEOs, private sector leaders, policymakers and development partners from across the continent under the theme: “Empowering Business to Advance Social Justice.”

The presence of high-level government leadership alongside private sector and employer representatives underscored a powerful message: when governments and businesses work together, policies become enablers of productivity, competitiveness and social justice.

The high-level event objectives among others were to learn strategies to build sustainable and competitive enterprises, contribute to Africa’s inclusive growth and social justice agenda, strengthen the unified voice of employers across the continent and Network with key stakeholders from business and policy spheres.

The summit featured very outstanding speakers, both local and international, who inspired delegates with thought-provoking perspectives on the future of work and enterprise in Africa. Among the standout voices was Dr. Julius Kipng’etich, Group CEO of Jubilee Insurance, who spoke on Contemporary Workplace Changes. He reminded delegates that while digitalization and innovation are reshaping business, Africa’s real strength lies in investing in skills, adaptability, and inclusive growth. He emphasized that unlocking Africa’s workplace future requires leaders to champion not just technology, but people-powered progress.

The summit fostered an electric atmosphere as delegates connected, exchanged ideas and built partnerships to drive enterprise growth, social justice and the future of work in Africa.

More than just a summit, it was a movement of collaboration, innovation, and shared vision for a stronger, more inclusive Africa.
