The Chief Executive Officer of the Agricultural Employers Association (AEA) proudly participated in the renowned Lewa Safaricom Marathon, successfully completing the challenging 21-kilometre half marathon. Held at the breathtaking Lewa Wildlife Conservancy, the event brought together runners from across Kenya and beyond in support of wildlife conservation, education, healthcare, and community development.

By taking part in the marathon, the AEA CEO demonstrated resilience, determination, and a commitment to promoting health and wellness while supporting meaningful social and environmental causes. The 21KM race tested endurance and perseverance, reflecting the values of discipline and dedication that inspire both personal and professional excellence.

The Lewa Safaricom Marathon is widely recognised for combining athletic achievement with a greater purpose, raising funds that positively impact local communities and conservation initiatives. AEA is proud of its CEO's participation, which highlights the Association's support for initiatives that foster sustainable development and community well-being.

Congratulations to the AEA CEO on successfully completing the 21KM challenge and representing the Association with distinction at one of Kenya's most celebrated charity marathons.



The Board Induction Meeting was successfully held at the AEA offices on 26th June 2026, bringing together newly appointed Board Members for an orientation designed to equip them with the knowledge and understanding required to effectively carry out their board governance responsibilities. The meeting served as an important milestone in preparing the Board to provide strategic leadership and oversight in advancing the Association's mission and objectives.

Board Members were taken through roles and responsibilities of the Board ,the Secretariat and Board Committees ,highlighting the importance of accountability,transparency and ethical leadership .The Induction Meeting also covered the Association's constitutional and legal framework, financial oversight responsibilities, risk management, policy compliance, and decision-making processes. Presentations provided insights into the Association's current programmes, achievements, opportunities, and key priorities, enabling Board Members to better understand the operating environment and the strategic issues requiring their leadership.

Throughout the induction meeting, The board members  actively engaged in discussions, shared experiences, and deliberated on various governance matters. The interactive nature of the meeting encouraged collaboration and strengthened the Board's commitment to effective governance, sound decision-making, and collective leadership.

The induction concluded with a shared commitment by the Board Members to uphold the Association's values, work collaboratively with the Secretariat, and provide strategic direction that will contribute to the continued growth, sustainability, and success of the Association.


The Chief Executive Officer of the Agricultural Employers Association (AEA), Mr. Wesley Siele, attended the 114th International Labour Conference (ILC) held in Geneva, Switzerland, from 1st to 12th June 2026. The conference took place at the International Labour Organization (ILO) Headquarters, the Palais des Nations, and the International Conference Centre Geneva (CICG).

The conference brought together tripartite delegations from 187 member states, comprising representatives from governments, employers, and workers. The annual gathering serves as the world's premier forum for discussing labour and employment issues and shaping international labour standards.

One of the key agenda items was the discussion on decent work in the platform economy. Delegates continued negotiations on a possible new international labour standard aimed at protecting workers in the gig and platform economy. The discussions emphasized the importance of ensuring fair working conditions, social protection, and inclusion of informal workers in emerging labour frameworks.

Another major theme was Artificial Intelligence and the future of work. The ILO Director-General's report, titled A MOMENT OF CHOICE:
