The Agricultural Employers Association (AEA) successfully convened the Horticulture, Floriculture and Botanical (HFB) CBA Implementers' Consultative Meeting on 23rd July 2026 at Mwanzo Lounge- Naivasha to discuss Phase 2 of the CBA 2025-2027 implementation .The forum brought together CBA implementers from across the sector to discuss key labour, employment and industrial relations issues affecting agricultural employers.
The meeting provided participants with updates on the current industrial relations landscape, where members noted continued stability across the sector with no reported industrial strikes. Discussions centred on strengthening employer–employee relations, promoting compliance with labour legislation and sharing practical experiences in managing workplace challenges.
Among the items discussed included employee welfare, statutory compliance, CBA implementation, reimbursement of NITA training levies, labour outsourcing, and the on-going NSSF court appeal. Members also reviewed recent trade union developments, workplace audits, implementation of the new Agricultural Wages Order and the potential impact of global events on the agricultural sector.
Through such engagements, AEA continues to provide employers with timely legal and industrial relations guidance while promoting harmonious,productive and sustainable worplaces across Kenya's agricultural sector.
