The Agricultural Employers Association (AEA) conducted a training on Performance Management and Appraisal for supervisors and managers from 7th -12th September 2026 in Mulot, Isinya Porini and Isinya HQ flower farms. The Training was facilitated by Mr.Ken Agutu, Retirement and Leadership coach and Mr.Gibson Cheruiyot Head of Finance, Administration and Membership (AEA)
The training focused on strengthening supervisors’ and managers’ understanding of effective performance management, including setting clear and measurable targets, fair performance appraisal, regular feedback, employee coaching, and linking performance to rewards and recognition.
The sessions incorporated practical examples and discussions relevant to flower-farm operations, enabling participants to apply the concepts to their day-to-day supervisory responsibilities. The training emphasised that employees should understand what is expected of them, how their performance is measured, and how good performance is recognised and rewarded.
