The Association CEO Mr. Wesley Siele was privileged to Chair a high level consultative meeting between the Kenya Plantations and Agricultural Workers’ Union led by the General Secretary Dr. Francis Atwoli and the flower industry members of the Association led by former Chair Mr. Tom Ochieng Director of Penta Flowers.
The meeting focused on Challenges facing the industry which include high cost of production. The team agreed on a raft of plans to make the industry competitive internationally.
The two parties also agreed to commence discussions on the Horticulture, Floriculture and Botanical CBA negotiations ahead of its expiry in July 2023.
