Agricultural Employers Association commonly known as AEA was started in 1962 and registered in 1966 as an Association representing the collective interests of Employers in the Agricultural industry in matters connected with Employment of Labour. The AEA is an affiliate member of KEPSA, FKE, KAM and ASNET.

 We are seeking to recruit a TRAINING OFFICER specializing in STATUTORY TRAININGS in OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH (OSH). The ideal candidate should have a strong background in Science or OSH with a solid record of hands-on experience and training delivery in the field.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Strategic leadership and operational oversight of the statutory trainings department.
  • Lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of statutory OSH trainings.
  • Design, implement and continuously update OSH training curricula in line with national legislation and industry best practices.
  • Coordinate and Conduct OSH audits, training sessions and assessments for member organizations.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of trainers and support staff ensuring high quality service delivery
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory training standards and maintain training records ensuring timely certification.
  • Engage with stakeholders, including government agencies and clients, to promote workplace safety culture.

 Qualifications and Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Science or Occupational Safety and Health
    Additionally as an added advantage have a
    A Postgraduate Diploma in OSH
    OR
    A NEBOSH Diploma in OSH
  • Minimum of 5 years proven practical experience in Occupational Safety and Health trainings
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct comprehensive OSH audits.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing or coordinating a team or department.
  • Proven basic computer skills (e.g., MS Office, report writing).
  • Excellent communication and facilitation and organizational skills.

 Desirable Attributes

  • Certification in adult training methodologies or instructional design is an added advantage.
  • In-depth knowledge of national and international OSH regulations.
  • A proactive, self driven leader with the ability to work independently and lead a training team effectively.
