The Association held its 60th AGM at Mwanzo lodge in Naivasha at the Flower Business Park.
The event that was attended by more than 60 representatives of different companies within the membership from all over the country, saw a new office of the Executive Committee and Association’s Trustees being elected in line with the association’s constitution.
Owing to their good work and dedication in steer heading the Association, members agreed to retain the same team of the Management committee that comprises of;

Dr. Wilson Odiyo-1st Vice Chairman
Ms. Ariana Issaias 2nd Vice Chairman
Mr. Patrick Mbugua- Treasurer
In his speech the Chairman, Mr. Stephen Strong expressed concerns due to the recent publication of the Finance Bill 2023, which he said contains a raft of huge increases in taxation, both overt and “covert”, and as such Kenyans should expect to see an increase in redundancies, automation, outsourcing and depressed hirings.
He raised concerns on the new regulations which came up during the years and are not friendly to business and urged the government to relook at the changes in legislation that have been effected, not least of which are the implementation of the new NSSF rates, the Water Resources Regulations, imposition of a multitude of local County Government licensing requirements and others, not to mention the Finance Bill 2023, all of which according to him will undoubtedly result in an even more difficult business environment for the rest of the year.
He further thanked members for the support they accorded the board during its tenure in office and for practicing fair labour practices and their resolve in making the agricultural sector the backbone of Kenya’s economy.
