The Association's Graduate Apprenticeship program for 2023 came to a close. The program saw 12 graduates successfully go through an intensive internship program which culminated to a party.
The graduands covered practical skills in HR including CBA negotiations, Trainings, Budgets, Payroll management, Labour Laws, Communication skills, Personal Branding, interviewing skills among others.
The AEA CEO Mr. Wesley Siele while addressing the graduands encouraged them to be the best ambassadors and to keep the high discipline while in employment. He noted that all the graduates had successfully transited into employment and he thanked the employers who had opened doors to them as HR Assistants and HROs.
The event which was attended by the graduates’ current employers came with appreciation of this milestone that doesn’t only include completion of the programme but also securing jobs in a very competitive market.
The Guest Speaker Mr. Nicholas Kibet; Regional HR Business Partner Wananchi Group encouraged the interns to self-brand and distinguish themselves to climb the corporate ladder while always aspiring to be the best.
The Association will be taking in more university graduates in its 2024 Graduate Apprenticeship programmee. This will be done in two phases; January-June and July to December and release to the market on completion of each phase. We wish the outgoing all the best in their new roles and the incoming a great learning experience.
