AEA ONBOARDS NEW INTERNS IN ITS 2025 APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAMME

The market entry trends in Kenya show that over one million youth enter the labour market annually without any skills, some having either dropped out of or completed primary and (or) secondary school and not enrolled in any college. The universities release approximately 50,000 graduates into the job market annually.

The Agricultural employers’ Association (AEA) through it’s initiative to roll out a graduate apprenticeship program absorbs 10 graduates annually from different universities in the country. The programs help the graduates to build on work ethics, Labour Laws, CBA negotiations, HR aspects, Leadership, Managerial/supervisory skills and practical exposure to farms in preparation for the job market.

The AEA CEO Mr. Wesley Siele welcomed the new team and encouraged them to remain focused and tap on the expertise of the mentors who were willing to help them through the process. The function was also followed by a prayer session led by Rev. Delton Orgeness, Senior Pastor Lakeview AGC, Nakuru who spoke on Luke 16:10, Mathew 25:23 – “Being Faithful in Little Things” He encouraged the team to be faithful, have the right attitude, doing what is right, work and achieve targets through teamwork.
