We wish to inform you that the Association recruited a new member of staff who will be in charge of Legal, Human Resources, Members Compliance and Consultancy Services. Mr. Elly George Okoth who is now the Legal & HR Compliance officer after very competitive interviews will be working closely with Mr. Peter Kinyanjui.
Mr. Elly Okoth is a holder of a Bachelor of Laws degree from Catholic University of Eastern Africa and a Post Graduate Diploma from the Kenya School of Law and currently pursuing CHRP from IHRM and Company Secretary with KASNEB.

Mr. Elly Okoth is a lawyer with over eight years’ experience in Civil and Corporate Law, Employment and Labour Laws and Industrial Relations matters cutting across the Finance and Insurance Industry, Law Firms and the Judiciary. He has represented different companies and individuals in Civil Courts, Environment and Land Courts and Employment and Labour Relations Courts.
He has keen interest in Employment of Labour, Industrial Relations and Corporate Governance. His other areas of interest are Intellectual Property, Technology, Media & Telecommunications.
The section he heads will handle the following duties but not limited to;
- Development and Review of member HR Manuals
- Auditing– Legal & HR Audits
- Recruitment and Executive Selection
- Management Consultancy Services
- Legal Services
- Legal law compliance
- HR services as per HRMP Act
- CBA Negotiations

Mr. Elly Okoth replaces Ms. Jane Muchiri (previously AEA’s HR Compliance and Consultancy Officer) who is no longer working with the Association. Ms. Jane worked for the Association for 3 years until her resignation to pursue greener pastures.
