Agricultural Employers Association commonly known as AEA was started in 1962 and registered in 1966 as an Association representing the collective interests of Employers in the Agricultural industry in matters connected with Employment of Labour. The AEA is an affiliate member of KEPSA, KAM and ASNET.
Our client in Nakuru seeks to fill the following vacancy that has arisen in their company as soon as possible:
Vacancy: COMPANY DRIVER
The overall purpose of the job is for the likely candidate to provide proper maintenance of assigned Company vehicles, Picking only authorized passengers and dropping them off to their destinations, inspecting vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform regular preventative maintenance and Keep the office informed of the vehicle’s whereabouts all the time by accurately completing and submitting all necessary paperwork such as work ticket to account for the vehicle movement.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Driving motor vehicles as authorized for official duties and assignments.
- Ensuring safe custody of the vehicle in possession.
- Identifying and reporting malfunctioning of the vehicles.
- Carrying out minor mechanical repairs.
- Ensuring that assigned vehicle(s) is clean and well maintained.
- Ensuring possession of all the requisite documents, approvals, and tools for any journey.
- Maintaining the work ticket for assigned vehicle; and
- Maintaining good physical condition that will enable Driver to stoop, bend twist and perform other motions requiring strength and endurance.
- Maintain an excellent driving record, a valid driving license.
- Any other duty that may be assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
- Valid driving license
- 2023 certificate of Good conduct
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a company driver
- 2 years’ experience as a motor vehicle mechanic will be an added advantage.
- Experience with both automatic and manual transmission vehicles
- Trustworthy with all company documents for delivery
- Ability to drive calmly during unforeseen situations.
- Experience in performing routine inspections and managing vehicle maintenance.
- Integrity and maturity.
- Clean driving track record
- Strong interpersonal skills
