VACANCY: CHIEF ENGINEER
Agricultural Employers Association commonly known as AEA was started in 1962 as an Association representing the collective interests of employers in the Agricultural industry in matters connected with Employment of Labour. The AEA is an affiliate member of KEPSA, KAM and ASNET.
Our client in the FMCG based in Nairobi seeks to fill the following vacancy that has arisen in their company:
TITLE: CHIEF ENGINEER
The successful candidate will head the engineering department, overseeing management of new projects, technical improvements, and routine maintenance.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES.
- Make project budgets and annual capital.
- Maintenance of budgets.
- Make and implement maintenance plans.
- Ability to understand projects through concepts, designs, legal and other approvals,
- Procurement of materials and outsourcing of relevant contractors.
- Represent the company in technical meetings both internally and externally.
- Report to the top management as may be required.
DESIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
The job holder must possess:
- Degree in mechanical engineering.
- Knowledge/experience in project management, electrical engineering will be an added advantage.
- Over 10 years of working experience
- Demonstrable experience in managing technical teams and contractors.
- Demonstrable people management skills.
- The preferred candidate should be open minded and hands on.
