JUNIOR ACCOUNTANT / WAGES CLERK
Agricultural Employers Association commonly known as AEA was started in 1962 and registered in 1966 as an Association representing the collective interests of Employers in the Agricultural industry in matters connected with Employment of Labour. The AEA is an affiliate member of KEPSA, KAM and ASNET.
Our client based in Laikipia County seeks to fill the following vacancy that has arisen in their company:
VACANCY: JUNIOR ACCOUNTANT / WAGES CLERK
Reporting to the Senior Accountant/ Manager, the position holder will provide support in financial management services to ensure financial probity. The successful candidate should be available and ready to start immediately.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Management of muster roll including daily physical back ups.
- Create employees’ monthly wage slip and wage slip sign sheets and hand out.
- Manage labour rations stocks and issuance (twice monthly).
- Upload payroll to banking portal for approval.
- Manage advance requests and payments (and subsequent deductions).
- Filing and keeping all wages and accounts records.
- Manage and generate P9A forms.
- Manage and track employees’ Sacco loan requests.
- Submitting and managing the monthly I-tax requirements, other statutory monthly returns and monthly Sacco payments.
- Other related tasks as assigned.
Desired Qualifications, skills and experience;
The job holder must possess:
- Bachelor’s degree or a Diploma in Finance related discipline.
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience with a reputable organization.
- Competence in wages programmes and ERP programmes.
- Demonstrate attention to detail.
- Ability to analyze financial data.
- Ability to organize paperwork and archive efficiently.
- Reconciliation and analytical skills.
