Agricultural Employers Association commonly known as AEA was started in 1962 and registered in 1966 as an Association representing the collective interests of Employers in the Agricultural industry in matters connected with Employment of Labour. The AEA is an affiliate member of FKE, KEPSA, KAM and ASNET.
Our client based in Limuru Region seeks to fill the following vacancy that has arisen in their company:
VACANCY: SALES & MARKETING MANAGER
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the marketing and sales of roses and other floral product for the company. The role will report to the Director.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Market Development; Conduct thorough research by identifying potential markets and develop demand for roses on these markets and expand the existing markets, including emerging markets and trends in consumer preferences
- Product Development; Diversify the company products and introduce new product categories such as PAS bouquets.
- Strategic Planning; Develop and implement market entry strategies, including assessing risks and opportunities in new markets
- Pricing Strategy; Develop competitive pricing strategies based on market analysis, cost of production and competitor pricing, as well as monitoring market trends and adjust pricing accordingly to remain competitive.
- Strategic recommendations; Advise the management on strategic decisions related to market entry and product offerings based on market analysis.
- Contract Management; Negotiate year-round supply and prices with buyers
- Sales forecasting; Use sales forecasting and strategic planning to ensure profitability
- Communication and Reporting; Communicate with clients to receive and process orders and share with management about company performance and top market trends. Able to understand buyer/ market needs. Able to connect and build relationships with buyers
- Motivation and development; Foster a positive team culture, motivating team members and providing opportunities for professional development
- Any other task as assigned from time to time
Desired Education & Professional Qualifications;
The job holder must possess:
- Bachelor’s degree in, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years and above of experience in the same position, Sales & Marketing in the flower industry
- Experience in a business that either has an export market or works within certified industry standards.
- Good teamwork skills and a strong ability to build networks and communicate with others on a professional level is required.
