VACANCY: HEAD OF QUALITY MANAGEMENT
Agricultural Employers Association commonly known as AEA was started in 1962 and registered in 1966 as an Association representing the collective interests of Employers in the Agricultural industry in matters connected with Employment of Labour. The AEA is an affiliate member of KEPSA, FKE, KAM and ASNET.
Our client based in Naivasha that specializes in the production of high-quality medicinal plants, seeks to fill the following vacancy that has arisen in their company:
VACANCY: HEAD OF QUALITY MANAGEMENT
The incumbent will be responsible for leading the quality assurance efforts, ensuring compliance with quality standards and production guidelines. The successful person will oversee product traceability, quality control, hygiene standards, and continuous process improvements. They will also be responsible for audits, certifications, and resolving quality-related challenges.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure stable production processes and final product quality.
- Maintain product traceability and compliance with relevant standards.
- Develop, update, and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Train staff on quality procedures and monitor compliance.
- Oversee audits, certifications, and quality documentation.
- Act as the primary contact for laboratories, overseeing testing and analysis.
- Perform in-process quality controls and manage batch releases.
- Monitor hygiene standards and implement improvement measures.
- Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce risks.
- Manage quality-related budgeting and resource planning.
Desired Qualifications, skills and experience;
The job holder must possess:
- A degree in Agricultural Science, Quality Management, Food Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in quality assurance, compliance, or process optimization in an agricultural or production environment.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to enforce quality standards and drive improvements.
- Experience in managing audits, certifications, and laboratory testing coordination.
- Strong documentation skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data tracking and analysis.
- Detail-oriented with a structured approach to documentation and problem-solving
